Bio

Serena is a registered dietitian, food writer, and culinary instructor based in St. Louis. She has been a contributing writer and a recipe developer for FoodNetwork.com for a decade where she shares science-based nutrition information on food trends, gut health and brain health. She is happiest in her bright Mediterranean-blue kitchen cooking for her husband and five children.

Serena blogs at TeaspoonOfSpice.com and cooks up healthy recipes for regular TV appearances and her cooking classes. She produces bi-weekly virtual Healthy Kitchen Hacks classes on the Teaspoon of Spice Facebook page.

Education

Serena graduated from Tufts University with an MS in nutrition communications and earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Concordia College. She is the recipient of the AND Social Media Excellence Award.
