7 Breakfasts That Are a Breeze to Pack
Don’t skip the most important meal of the day!

When I was in college, I used to make a bowl of oatmeal every single morning. I also commuted to school, which meant I was often short on time. My solution? I would carry the oatmeal into the car and eat it at red lights, which resulted in a lot of strange looks and a handful of messes. Take it from me — it was not a great idea.
If I were to go back in time, I would definitely do things differently. There are so many great breakfast options that you pack and enjoy mess-free, whether you’re heading to school, the office or the gym. The following recipes can travel without a problem — and with a little planning, they’re incredibly easy to grab and go, too.
Specifically designed with little hands in mind, these mini-muffins are great for enjoying on the way to school. They’re chock-full of breakfast ingredients, like oats, Greek yogurt, applesauce and blueberries, that will keep kids full and satisfied until lunch.

A protein bar is a great option for busy mornings, because you can eat them literally anywhere. These bars, which are packed with seeds, nut butter, toasted millet and dates, are easily customizable to what ingredients you have on hand. Plus, they set in the freezer, so there’s no need to turn on the oven! The protein bars can sit in the freezer for up to three months, making them a great option to keep on hand.

I know what you’re thinking — I just said oatmeal is not a great option to eat on the go. But these overnight oats, which are made in individual jars, are ideal for eating at a desk. And, because overnight oats are cold by design, you won’t be in a rush to eat it while it’s hot. In fact, all you really have to do is toss the jar in a bag and enjoy once you get to work or school. This recipe is a great way to get started, but for extra fall flavor try these pumpkin pie or apple pie oats, instead.

Our make-ahead recipe can be baked in bulk and stashed in the freezer, so a veggie-packed breakfast is only a minute away. Toss a sandwich in a lunch box and reheat at the office, school or wherever you have access to a microwave.
