Bio

Christine Byrne, MPH, RD, is a registered dietitian, trained chef and food journalist. She has been a contributing writer at Food Network since 2019. Christine writes about nutrition in a way that's accessible, digestible and free from shame. She aims to help people feel empowered, not stressed out or guilty, when making food choices. Christine has been writing about food since 2012, first as a staff editor and later as a freelance writer. As a dietitian, Christine owns Ruby Oak Nutrition, a group private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina that helps clients overcome eating disorders and disordered eating.
