Since transforming from a fine-dining destination to a casual comfort food spot in 2009, Union Woodshop has been serving scratch-made dishes like The Porker. It's got cured bacon, hot link sausage and a house-ground pork patty.

Pizzas here are made inside a wood-fired oven straight from Italy, and the mozzarella is pulled fresh daily. With leeks, onions, pulled prosciutto, olives, fontina cheese and caramelized onions, there's nothing left to desire.

A classic Italian starter, the rollatini is made with homemade mozzarella rolled in Italian black truffles, baby arugula, Parmigiano-Reggiano, prosciutto and a dust of lemon zest.

At The Oinkster, they're doing fast food with lots of slow-cooked favorites. Everything is made from scratch, including the pulled pork, which brines for two days to ensure maximum flavor and juiciness. On a roll with homemade barbecue sauce and caramelized onions, it's a local favorite.
